Displaced Tooth

Displaced Tooth

Displaced tooth condition occurs when the crown of a primary or secondary tooth can not erupt into its proper position. This results in an abnormality of the jaw and causes the formation of dentigerous cyst on that side. The resulting dentigerous cyst presents on radiographs as a radiolucent mass which usually is larger than the entire unerupted tooth, this raises concern for further pathology such as odontogenic tumours.
