Bleaching

Bleaching is a cosmetic dental treatment used to lighten the colour of natural tooth enamel.

There are two main types of teeth bleaching which are home-bleaching products, some examples are over-the-counter, whitening strips, gels, mouth trays or custom fitted bleaching trays. The second type of teeth bleaching is in-office treatments where the dentist takes impressions and constructs custom made mouthpieces that fit over the teeth to deliver stronger bleaching agents for more effective results. For cosmetic dentistry purposes, you would want to use at least 10% carbamide peroxide gel.
