Denture

Dentures are removable appliances used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They are also called false teeth or prosthetic dentistry. The usual purpose of placing a set of dentures is to allow the patient back into the normal world, restoring communication, comfort, aesthetics and dignity.

As soon as all the natural teeth have been removed, you can get fitted with an immediate denture. These types of replacement teeth are meant only for short-term use until your gums have healed enough so that your dentist can place permanent implants. This usually occurs within four weeks time after surgery has taken place. Before getting fitted with an immediate replacement tooth it is vital that you discuss this option with your dentist or oral surgeon first.
